Men’s Ministry at Grace UCC

Our men’s ministry at Grace UCC reaches beyond our bi-monthly men’s group. The Men of Grace UCC are involved in various efforts at Grace including serving on our Consistory, Lay Life, Property Maintenance, Audio / Visual Team, Recognition Program, Investments Management . . . and with our Men’s Group.

How to Join? We don’t have a formal membership process. You are welcome to join anytime, to attend a few meetings, or to attend all our meetings. You are welcome to come and discuss challenges you’re facing, while looking for solutions and help. If you’d like to meet with just one of us in a personal one-on-one, we will accommodate that as well. Men’s health is our focus. And no, you do not have to be a member of Grace UCC to join us. Our only requirement is that you are seeking answers.

Second Tuesdays

The Men’s Group meets at Grace UCC in Taneytown at 6:30 PM the second Tuesday of each month to study God’s word. Sometimes we study a book of the Bible. Other times we watch and discuss the contents of a movie. We also read and discuss books of interest that get us further into God’s word.

Fourth Tuesdays

Our fourth Tuesdays began as a second evening of the month for us to gather over food to get to know each other better. The question was posed “If we are striving to be better Christians, what better way than to spend time with other Christians with the same goal?” The answer was to gather for a meal together to share about our daily lives.

We currently use our fourth Tuesdays to further our study, but the difference is that we bring something for dinner and have our discussions over dinner.

Mother’s Day Breakfast

The men’s group prepares and serves breakfast to the Moms of our congregation in appreciation for all they do.

Recognition Program

Every month or so, the men’s group draws a card from the Recognition Box and assembles a certificate to be presented by church leadership to a deserving person in our congregation. We find it important to recognize those serving others in big and in small ways, in the church, as well as in the community.
